Support Us

Countryside Conservancy is supported primarily by tax-deductible donations from private individuals.  We also receive grant support for our activities from government sources, and from private and corporate foundations.

There are many ways to support us!  To name just a few:

Become a Member:  Our members and donors are our most important supporters.  Countryside Conservancy is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and gifts to the Conservancy are tax-deductible.  Follow this link to print out a membership form and become a member today! (form also available in PDF format)

Volunteer:  Volunteers make so much happen for the Conservancy.  They plant trees, monitor stream water quality, walk Conservancy preserves, plan our events, pick up litter, serve as Board members, and much more!  Follow this link to print out a volunteer application or call the office at (570) 945-6995 to find out more about volunteer opportunities.  (form also available in PDF format)

Shop for the Greater Good with special offers from local and online businesses that help Countryside Conservancy:

  • Farm-Fresh Delivery from Hails Family Farms, Wyalusing:  For every new home-delivery subscriber who mentions Countryside Conservancy’s name when signing up, the farm will donate 5% of sales to the Conservancy for the first year, and 3% of sales for the second year.  The farm offers a terrific variety of locally-grown dairy products, baked goods, eggs, meat and produce from small family farms in our area, and delivers along the Route 6 corridor from Wyalusing to Scranton.  Sign up by calling (570) 746-1664 or visiting their website (www.HailsFamilyFarm.com), and mention Countryside Conservancy!

  • Massage from Harmony Restored:  Stressed out by life?  Pull a muscle playing softball?  “Harmony Restored” can set you right and benefit the Conservancy too.  When you get a sports or deep tissue massage from Harmony Restored, 10% of proceeds are directed to the Countryside Conservancy or one of several other local non-profit organizations.  You decide where you want your donation to go.  Contact certified massage therapist Dave Jennings at (570) 335-2283 for an appointment at his Scranton, Moosic, Clarks Summit or Daleville location.  Customers can enjoy the use of the fitness centers where his studios are located on the day of their massage.

  • Everything Natural, the great health, wellness and organic store on State Street in Clarks Summit, is giving a wooden nickel to each customer who brings his own shopping bag.  You can drop your nickel in a box to benefit Countryside Conservancy or other local causes; visit the store to see who's on offer this month!

  • GoodSearch.com offers a way to benefit the Conservancy while you search the internet.  Go to www.goodsearch.com next time you want to do an Internet search, enter Countryside Conservancy in the box headed “Who do you GoodSearch for?”, and then use this page to search the Internet as you normally would.  The site is powered by Yahoo!, and delivers high-quality search results.  Each search earns a penny for the Conservancy.

  • Similarly, with GoodShop.com you can shop online and generate revenue for the Conservancy.  This site connects you to online stores such as iTunes, Amazon.com, Flowers.com, Best Buy and many more, and directs up to 37% of each purchase to your favorite cause.  You pay nothing extra for accessing their store through GoodShop.  Just visit www.goodshop.com, enter Countryside Conservancy in the box headed “Who do you support?” and click on the button for the online store of your choice.

Planned Giving:  The Conservancy is inspired by those individuals who remember us in their wills, through trusts or other forms of planned giving .  We are glad to work with donors to explore bequests, charitable trusts or other mechanisms.  Please call Executive Director Mary Felley at (570) 945-6995 if you are interested in making a bequest or other planned gift to the Conservancy.

Gifts of Stock:  The Conservancy welcomes gift of stock.  If you own stocks that have greatly appreciated in value, making a stock gift to the Conservancy can both qualify you for a Federal income-tax deduction and also save you from paying capital gains tax on the increase in the stock's value over time.  Please call Executive Director Mary Felley at (570) 945-6995 to get the information you will need to make a donation of stock.

Contact us at (570) 945-6995 or cconserv@epix.net to find out more ways you can get involved!
